Dodge Viper 25th Anniversary Limited-edition Models Slither Away in Record Time

These Vipers move so fast, you can't catch one

August 1, 2016

Dodge is celebrating the 25th anniversary and final year of Viper production with five exclusive limited-edition models, four of which are pictured here.

3 minutes and 15 seconds. That sounds like some sort of a track record but it’s not. That is the amount of time it took for just over 200 special-edition Dodge Viper Snakeskin ACR’s to sell out!

Dodge is honoring the Viper’s rich, colorful and exceptional performance heritage on and off the track by releasing five limited-edition models representing the most iconic special edition Vipers of the past. These special-edition Vipers commemorate the 25th and final year of production of the supercar.

And they are so hot, they slithered away in seconds.

Leading the pack was the new 1:28 Edition ACR. All 28 units sold out in just 40 minutes. All 31 units of the VoooDoo II Edition ACRs had new owners within two hours. The Snakeskin Edition GTC (25 units) and GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR (100 units) took only two ordering days to sell out. All 22 units of the Dodge Dealer Edition ACR sold out within five ordering days. Finally, the all-new Snakeskin ACR version sold out within 3 minutes and 15 seconds when ordering opened on July 15th at 1:00 p.m. EST. Now that’s fast!

It’s good news for Viper owners and lovers. The selling-spree insures their future collectability.
