Dodge Delivers Attitude in 2016
September 17, 2015
The biggest news when it comes to the Dodge brand in 2016 is the full consolidation of Dodge and its SRT high-performance brand. With a lineup that includes ACRs, 1 of 1s, Hellcats, Scat Packs, R/Ts, GTs and SRT, Dodge is ready to charge into its next 100 years focusing on performance. Dodge is known as the “mainstream performance” brand within the FCA US LLC showroom. SRT is known as the “ultimate performance” segment of the Dodge brand. Together, the two create a complete and balanced performance brand with one vision and one voice.

Available on the Charger SXT or R/T model, customers can now get the exclusive “blacked out” design that starts with Gloss Black treatment on the split-crosshair grille and fascia insert for a bolder “mask” appearance that further emphasizes its forward-leaning “superhero stance.” Gloss Black mirrors and large, 20-in. five-spoke Gloss Black aluminum wheels wrapped with all-season tires give this four-door muscle car a discrete look. At the rear, a one-piece Satin Black performance spoiler provides downforce, while the Satin Black badge continues the unique look. On the inside, Dodge Charger Blacktop’s menacing style features dark interior finishes and appointments.
The Blacktop Appearance Group is also available on two Challenger models – SXT and R/T and includes 20-inch five-spoke Gloss Black aluminum wheels.
Popular hue, Plum Crazy, is back for a limited time on Charger and Challenger.
2016 Dodge Dart
New for the 2016 model year, the Dodge Dart offers compact car buyers a list of new options they can choose to help differentiate their Dart from the crowded compact car class. Also new for 2016 are two new colors: TorRed and Go Mango.
In response to high demand for the popular Blacktop Package, Dodge is continuing the blacked out look for the 2016 model year on the SXT model and expanding the availability to the GT model in the first quarter of 2016. The 2016 Dodge Dart is also available in Aero and Limited trim levels.
2016 Dodge Durango
When it comes to the Dodge Durango, the 2016 model year features new technology and new two new exterior appearance packages.
Engine stop-start (ESS) technology, an emission-lowering and fuel-saving feature, is now standard on 2016 Dodge Durango models powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine.
ESS technology increases fuel efficiency by shutting the engine off when the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Stop-start is activated automatically and requires no input from the driver. A system disable switch is available if the driver wishes to suspend the feature.
For 2016, all Dodge Durango models now offer Sport mode capability, which drivers can select for a more responsive driving experience. Turning on Sport mode changes the steering calibration, pedal calibration and shift pattern to further enhance the Durango’s outstanding on-road driving performance.
Two new appearance packages with late availability offer even more choices. The Platinum Appearance package features 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels with platinum exterior mirror caps, grille surround, fog lamp bezels, exterior badging, door handles and lower sills available on the Dodge Durango Citadel.
The Brass Monkey Appearance Package is available on the Limited model. The Brass Monkey Appearance Package features 20-inch Brass Monkey (Burnished Bronze) wheels, Gloss Black grille and exterior badge, and body-color door handles, exterior mirrors, front fascia, rear fascia, sills and wheel flares.
The Dodge Durango is available in SXT, Limited, R/T and Citadel trim levels.
