Chrysler, Jeep®: Big Game MVPs

Most Americans have a favorite part about the biggest football game day of the year.

For fans, it’s a chance to watch the sport played by two of the best teams in the league. For foodies it’s an epic day of snacking; and for many others, it’s the action that takes place off the field during commercial breaks that keeps them glued to the couch.

For the past few years, FCA US LLC has managed to deliver blockbuster ads during the big game, and for the fourth consecutive year, one of the Company’s commercials ranked as the No. 1 automotive commercial by viewers in the annual YouTube Ad Blitz poll.

The two-minute Chrysler brand “America’s Import” commercial secured this and the No. 3 commercial spot overall.

The commercial revealed the “America’s Import” tagline for the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200. It featured legendary American singer/songwriter Bob Dylan, who in a collaborative first for the artist, appears in the commercial, provides one of his tracks, “Things Have Changed,” and narrates the apologue that celebrates “America’s Import.”

In the commercial, Dylan echoes an honest, pure and poetic recant of America’s can-do spirit, admiring, and celebrating the role the automobile and those who make it have played in its history.

Another commercial debuted during the game, the Jeep® brand opened its 60-second spot by asking, “are you among the restless many?”

Restlessness is the feeling you get when you deny your curiosity too long. Keep going, keep running to new horizons, act on your instincts and passions, find what else is out there and dare to follow your restless heart.

For the Jeep brand, the “Restless” ad continues the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee launch and the brand’s “Built Free” advertising campaign . Dimensionalized through the lens of those who embrace a restless spirit, coveting what life has to offer in a continuous pursuit of adventure, the commercial furthers the story of those who refuse to sit still.
