2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Ready to Pounce

It’s easy to get transfixed by the big number for the new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT—600-plus horsepower coming from the new 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine.

But SRT engineers and designers worked to make every part of the 2015 model the ultimate Challenger. Here are some of other key numbers:

2: Key fobs with HEMI Hellcat V-8. The red key unleashes full power while the black key limits output to 500 hp.

2.75: Diameter, in inches, of the Challenger SRT exhaust system.

5: Seating capacity.

7: Inches, measured diagonally, of Driver Information Display screen in gauge cluster.

8: The number of speeds in the TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

The Challenger SRT coupes will be built at the Brampton (Ontario) Assembly Plant. Production is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2014.
